What to believe?

I'm not sure if the treadmill gives me the correct miles I ran or Nike +. Nike + usually tells me I ran more. For example, If I ran 2.4 on the treadmill, Nike + would say 2.8. Not sure what to believe. Keep in mind, I usually hold the ipod in my hand. I don't have internet where I run so I'm not sure if that would effect the accuracy. Thanks!

Treadmill. Nike+ is a pedometer that calculates distance based on your stride length that was calibrated into the device, so if the calibration is off, or your stride length changes, then the Nike+ will be off.0

I trust the treadmill distance over Nike+. If you change your stride length while running, it throws off Nike+ and it becomes less accurate. I could never seem to keep mine calibrated for more than a couple runs so I gave up on it.0
