New to MFP

Hey Everyone,

I've been on MFP now for a little over a week, and have been lurking in the forums for a few days, so I decided to come on out and say Hello.

I've used at least three different tools for tracking good and exercise, but I think I like MFP the best for it's social network factor which creates some accountability on my part.

At my heaviest, before I met my wife almost three years ago, I weight 304 lbs. I lost 60 lbs between April and July of 2008, and since then have fluctuated between 240 and 270. I quit smoking on October 24th, 2010. My Dad has lost a lot of weight, and I got the opportunity to see him (He lives in NJ, and I live in TX) in March after my son was born. He looked great, and this has only further inspired me to resume my journey and get myself down to 205 lbs. I haven't seen 205 lbs since middle school. Thanks for everyone for their motivational stories and interesting questions that I've been able to read and enjoy over the past week.
