I am three weeks in and started at 181 pounds and am now 179.5 pounds. I lost three pounds immediately but havent lost anymore the following week. I am set up to loose 1.5 pounds per week and am consistent with not going over. So has this happened to anyone else. I lost three lbs immediately and now am at stand still the following weeks. Just wondering cause I am getting depressed that its not gonna work.

    Try zig-zagging your calories, that way your body doesn't get used to getting the same amount everyday. That or maybe you aren't eating enough in general (esp if you are working out). I started eating more and zig zagging anfd have consistently lost weight.

    Dont worry, its normal! My first week I lost two pounds, then gained two the second week and another two the third week! I was pissed! I did the research though and its normal. Your new muscles are moving in and the fat isnt burning yet so you gain (I was working out every day) or lose slow. Your body WILL catch up with you though, just give it time and dont get up! Add me if you need extra support :-)

    1.5 lbs / week is a little too fast for the amount of weight you have to lose.
    The closer you are to your goal the slower you should lose.

    I went from 175 --> 160 at 1 lb/wk and 160 -->150 (almost there) at .5 lb/wk.

    You body just doesn't want to let go of that much that fast.
    AND a big plus is the slower you lose the easier it is to maintain.

    I had to go on maintain for a little while I was doing the 1 lb / wk and I was amazed at how scarey add calories back in was. How out of control it feels. So if you do a more gradual dip to lose you can do a more gradual rise to maintain and live healthily for a long time to come.

    Good Luck

    thanks everyone I feel better knowing other people had same experience and i am just going to keep doing the program. I originally thought 20 pounds would come off at exactly 1.5 a week. Prob more like more some weeks and nothing others. Thanks again.
