Any ideas for low carb and low protein?

My issue is that I'm consistently going over on my protein. I average about 20 to 30 g per meal so I'm getting plenty. However, I'm having difficulty meeting calorie requirements some days. I'm also trying to stay around 120 (or less) carbs per day. MFP allows 165 carbs per day but I notice that I tend to lose weight when I lower the carbs (otherwise I'm destined for a lifelong plateau). It just seems that low carb/high protein go hand in hand. I want to meet calorie requirements but not go WAY over on protein.

A typical meal is a lean turkey patty, providing protein and steamed veggies. Its about 250 calories 20 carbs from veggies, and 28 protein. Its very filling but because its low calorie, I'm coming up short and I need to meet the bare minimum of 1200 calories.

Unless you're consuming massive amounts of protein I wouldn't worry about going over on that category. Keep the carbs down, but a high protein intake isn't going to impede your weight loss.

If you want to do a low carb, you should adjust your settings in your goals by manually putting them in. I set mine to 40%carb/40% protein/20% fat. figure out what settings you need to go with to get your carbs in the range you need, then track it that way.

I will try changing the values then. MFP allowed me 45 of protein and I was getting nervous to see that my intake was twice that

I try to get 100g protein a day - 45g is pretty low I'd say.

id you manage to change the settings?
