Open up your food diary so we can see what you are eating. You need to go to settings and make your diary public.

Without seeing your diary its hard to help. The min calories per day is 1200. Any less and you are not giving your body the fuel it needs to burn fat and build muscle.

Open your diary if you a more detailed review or let us know more about your diet and/r calories.

    Good Luck!

If you'll open your diary we can make specific suggestions. Like you I always was a big girl (still am) but ate like a bird. My skinny friends ate far more than I. One of the things I've learned is to fuel my body. Add some snacks, eat I few high cal foods - like peanut butter, and see if that helps. You'll figure this out - by trial and error! Best wishes in your quest!

you can try eating smaller more frequent meals. Whole grain breads are a lot more calories per slice than regular wheat bread..you can try fruit and veggies to boost it up a little more. I find that if I eat a bigger breakfast I have less of a hard time getting in enough calories.

In terms of metabolism and weight loss, more actually equals less. I know this may sound weird, and it may even sound like I'm quoting something from a magazine if you've been reading a lot of fitness magazines lately. However, it's true.

I'd suggest making sure you eat a well-balanced breakfast within one hour of waking up. Although most people believe that getting your workout(s) in for the day first thing is best for your metabolism, I don't like to workout on a completely empty stomache. By the same token, I find that I lose my stomache if it's full when I workout. Next, make sure you're eating a HEALTHY snack every three hours. Humans evolved to be grazers! Our body has the memory of a goldfish and if you go longet than a couple hours without feeding it you risk overeating at your next meal and your body will in-turn store a large percentage of what you eat as body fat.

In addition to this, I cut out all man-made sugars from my diet. Sugar is processed and turned into lipids in the body. When your blood takes the lipids to storage, they attach themselves to your fat cells and form a lipid-wall around those cells.

When you workout, your body will naturally take energy from the most energy-rich source it can find. Muscles. Your Muscles hold a pluthera of water that is readily available for energy use by your bloodstream. If you do no strength training, you look at going the better part of 20 minutes before your body tries to access your fat stores for energy. Then, if you have a high sugar intake, you still risk not losing much weight in fat loss because of those lipid walls I spoke of earlier.

One last thing I want to hit on is that fat-burning zone the treadmills at the gym have. It's balogna. It's based off percentages, not true numbers. In the fat burning zone, you're burning something like 80% fat in your calories. However, you're not going very fast and therefore your calories burned is (let's say) an even 100, just for mathematical purposes. If you have the ability to up the pace and go out of the fat-burning zone, you drop the percentage. However, if you look at total calories lost... say you burned 200 calories in the same amount of time... you're looking at about 60% fat burn. Although that percentage may seem low, do the math. You still burned 120 fat calories as compared to 80...

I know I went a little more in-depth than you were probably looking for, but I hope this helps!!
