Just for fun, I did the math equation to calculate my caloric needs and same as MFP recommendations, it gave me 1215 calories if I didn't exercise. I added in the exercise calculations just to see and my caloric needs went up as the exercise values were increased. Sometimes, it just helps to do the math and it makes the case for eating back exercise calories. Just thought I would share....

MFP is way off for me... it says 1,727 and the calculations for that website came to 2,128.68. Maybe I am not eating enough??0

Did you do the next step after you finish your equation which is to subtract 500 calories from that? That gives you 3500 calories subtracted for the week giving you a 1 pound loss per week.0

It put my BMR between 1575 (no exercise) - 2166 (exercise 3x/wk). So, if you subtract the 500-1000 calorie deficit, it's right on target with MFP (1200 as a minimum).0
