I'm strongly considering buying the Polar FT4 this weekend. I have a few concerns....

1. This may be a dumb question: Is it mandatory that I wear the wearlink everytime I workout for the watch to work?

2. I'm a big girl. How big is the wearlink?

I would really appreciate everyone's feedback.

Thanks

Yes, you have to wear the chest strap in order for the watch to work. The band will more than likely fit you.

I have one. Yes, you have to wear the chest strap every time you record an exercise session. The chest strap fits me and my chest is 41inches. It is adjustable and most of the strap is stretchy. It is comfortable...it doesn't bother me when I wear it. It is a great HRM. I even wear mine in the pool. Very easy to use and very accurate.

I have one too. Love it! Make sure you measure and get the right size chest strap for you. I think the medium fits up to a very wide chest size. Mine is very comfortable and I don't feel it when I wear it. Often I forget I have it on and don't take off until I shower. So easy to set up and use the FT4.

I just got an FT7 which is basically a fancier version of the FT4. Mine came with a medium size strap and I had no problem with it. It was easy to adjust and I didn't even feel it.

Be advised tho that the transmitter is a separate from the strap. You need to snap the transmitter on to the strap and take it off at the end of every workout. If you don't the battery will drain out faster.
