    Gorgeous. With all the technology available to us today, with all the PhotoShop and auto focus and such and these deeply rich and poignant pictures were created at a time when none of that existed.

    I have to say my favorite is the black Rosie working on the dive bomber. I think people forget about the minorities, including women, who were an integral part of that era.

    You know, Elvis was born in the midst of the Depression. Wouldn't it be something if baby Elvis was in some photos?

    Beautiful photographs of an era not too long ago. How easy it is to forget how far we've come in such a short time. And I'm not certain that all the changes are for the better.....

    So very cool! Great post, I am such a history geek this totally made my day. The depression era is fascinating it shows the amazing spirit, resourcefulness and resiliency of people.
