If my new HRM is correct, my resting heart rate seems to be in the low 40s. I am fairly fit and pretty active, but am a good three stone overweight....can my rhb really be so low, or have i doen something wrong with the set up of my new toy?
TIA
Jo

Yes, it can be that low and that's a great number BTW. Shows a fit heart. The fitness of your heart can't be estimated by the scale or the size of your waist. The fitness of your heart is determined more by your exercise level and consistency. I've read research that shows that Fit Fat People live longer then Unfit Skinny People. You're doing great!0

Count your beats per minute manually at the same time as you are wearing the HRM
Best to work on an average over 3 times 1 minute or something similar.
That way you will know if it is roughly correct or not. Do not worry for 1 or 2 beats each way.0
