I've been on Atkins for 10 weeks now. I'm doing extended induction and have lost 29lbs so far. I've finally kicked my cravings for carbs to the curb. It was at one point I would sit and eat an entire row of Oreo's or half of a half gallon of ice cream. Changing my eating habits have been rough but well worth it. Anywho, I was wondering if anyone else has chosen this lifestyle change and how has it worked out for you.

I have done it ..but went over board ..I lost 35-40 lbs in around a month and a half ....I started out trying to eat no carbs and never went above 10 ..not cool of me ...I gained it back though...I just bought the book again and am thinking of doing it again properly ...or maybe a less controlled version...just cut the bad carbs and sugars really low but not limit myself to the point im bored of my foods ....who knows a the point but I do need to do something about the Carbs and sugar I take in ....I can be in full ketosis in 24-48 hours ..takes others I know 2 weeks and its never dark purple on their keto sticks ...It def works for me ..but I dont have enough self control yet to not go over board.

@ginger4real, you should try it again and stick to the plan. Induction is 20 net carbs a day, with the carbs coming MOSTly from salads and approved veggies. That's for the two week Induction, but I'm also on an extended Induction, until I get within range of my goal weight. After 2 weeks, you can decide to move on to the next phase or not. I've lost an average of 10 lbs a month, since February 15 this year. You can do this!!! Good luck!
