I saw Dr Oz last week about sleep, If you get 7.5 hours of sleep it helps you lose weight. I have not worked since Friday because I hurt my shoulder working out. I have beem sleeping 8hrs and I have lost 2lbs and I lost 1lbs yesterday , sat is my actuall weight day. I did not put my lost 1lb until Sat.
I am feelinf better and I am off to they gym.
Is this a fluke?

Man if sleeping helps you lose weight I should be a super model by now!! I need 8.5-9 hours of sleep every night or I am a bear. Did he say "at least" 7.5 hours of sleep a night or exactly that much?

I need a lot of sleep also, so this has never really been a problem for me. I did find this info though.

At least 7.5 hours asleep. I just wondered could it be the sleep or I just kept burning calories?

Yes! He is totally right!! Don't ask me why but, if you don't get enough sleep your body won't lose weight! In fact there have been weeks where I have only gotten like 51/2 hrs just a few days and not only will I not lose but I will gain a pound or so but, sure enough once I get caught up 12 plus hours then my weight creeps right back down where it should be and sometimes a little less than what I had expected!!! ! It is crazy! It could be stress or perhaps when you sleep that is when all your food digestion takes place so if you don't allow it enough time it messes your body up. Also, when I get sleep deprived I tend to lean on food to keep me fueled to get through the day which equals extra calories that typically I don't have the time or energy to burn off. It's a vicious cycle! I definitely recommend getting your sleep on! ha ha ;-) hope this helps!!!
