I am a 31 year old woman, I'm a diabetic, I don't eat meat, and I have a broken foot and am on crutches. Can anyone suggest some recipes that are diabetic AND vegetarian friendly? And also maybe some exercise that I can be doing for the next 6 weeks while my foot heals? Any ideas are appreciated! :D

For the exercises you can do all sorts of chair exercises while you are healing. Just keep moving what you can move and you will be up and around in no time.

You can do a lot of sitting exercises. Only porblem is most only work your arms.Like over head press, bicep curls, rows. You might want to ask your doctor but I believe part of reablitation might be riding a stationary bike at a slow pace for only a little bit of time. But don't quote me on that I could be wrong. For recipes I would google some and see what you can find.
  • Have you ever tried going on Krafts website. Here in Canada Kraft Canada has a great website with a section on diabetes here is the link. Hope it helps.

And as the other ladies have commented try some weight bearing exercises sitting down.

Have you heard of Shakeology? It's a super-vitamin shake that also comes in a low-glycemic version. If you would like to read more about it you can go to shakeology..com/GenaAdams Look for it in the bottom right corner.
