I have a Polar FT4. It was affordable and its easy to use. It does everything I need it to do. It has a chest strap so it is super accurate. It only cost $70. It stores your last 10 workout sessions so you can track your progress. It is even waterproof so you can use it in the pool.0

I have a Gaiam HRM. It is like a watch that you wear on your wrist. It works great once you get the hang of it. Cost about $99 and helps a lot with the accuracy of your calorie burn counts. Best of Luck!0

Concur with the Polar advocates - I have a FT7 and it's a gem. I've heard the FT4 is just as good.0
