Also new to MFP but so far very impressed-- already the food diary has brought a new light to my eyes, so let's do this. I am very interested in inspirational people who also have 100+ pounds to lose. For me, it's about losing momentum. This week and next week I'm sure I'll be motivated, but in three or four weeks I end up sitting down with some ice cream and saying "Whatever... fat's not so bad". And I'm trying to avoid it, because that's just my sense of failure talking.

Goals include being able to run again (used to in high school) and being slinky for my wedding in November wouldn't hurt.... love to add some friends to keep up with about workout goals and who might be able to talk me out of chocolate at every meal...

I have had motivational toubles in the past too .... but have been on MFP for 76 days now and am still going strong. I have bad days though, where I eat badly and don't work out, but MFP has helped me just move on and get back on track - before I would have just told myself I'd 'failed' and give up.

I think that's the key, don't beat yourself up if you do have a bad day - this is something you need to maintain for the rest of your life, its not realisic to think you'll make excellent choices forever, so allow yourself the occasional slip up and learn to move on quickly and with minimal damage!
