Okay, so I usually do fine on sodium....even on days when I don't exercise....the problem is....on those days that I have a really high calorie burn...thus more calories.....my sodium count is harder to maintain b/c it stays the same.....is anyone else having the same problem.....?

All the time....Kashi Cinamon (cant spell) Harvest Cereal has no sodium though, so its good to eat when you need more calories, but no more sodium.

Those days I tend to gravitate towards raw almonds, avocado and EVOO (extra virgin olive oil). It can be difficult for sure.

What are your protein sources? I eat a lot of chicken breast for my protein source and its low in sodium about 48 mg per 3oz..which is a typical serving, I eat egg whites mostly and once in a while beans (ie. kidney, chick peas etc..) Careful with the beans thou, the canned ones are full of sodium, try using the raw ones and cook them.......Avoid canned foods altogether if you can...I am lucky if I make 1000 mg of sodium a day and I eat 6 meals a day!
    Good Luck

Anything in a jar, or a can IE: veggies, salad dressings, mayo all have some level of sodium. I rinse any veggies I happen to get from a can, including beans. Try to make my own salad dressings ( when I have time). But usually my sodium is high too.

Drink alot of water, it should take care of it.

    Blessings,

    Diane
