well done on burning 1517 cals of exercise, however whilst eating all these calories back is really difficult, you should try and aim for a net of 1200 yours i know this can sometimes feel impossible, but try and eat as much as you can, and maybe carry a lil over into tomorrows breakfast(as I'm sure you will be hungry then!)xx0

Uh, yes you should be eating more. Your body is going to go into starvation mode and begin to lower your metabolism and hold onto fat. Everything I have read says you should not be netting less than 1200 calories a day. Example is you eat 1500 and burn 700 you should eat 400 of those calories back. Good luck!!

This is a good question.....can anyone tell me why it is so important to eat all of your exercise calories back?0

Basically, you finished today with a Net of -200.
You need your Net (on Home page) to be 1200, at minimum.
Here are some threads that might help:

MFP creates a built in deficit. If you don't eat those cals, you make that deficit larger than you (presumably) intended, which is usually unhealthy and unsustainable.
Read the threads I posted, they should explain it. Some people with a lot to lose (75+ lbs) can do ok with not eating them for a while, because they have large amounts of fat stores to draw from. People with less to lose, need to replace at least some of them to fuel the body properly.0 -

If you don't there is a good chance you will burn a large % of muscle while losing weight (not just fat) this will slow your metabolism down and make it easier to gain the weight back. Not to mention, you will have higher energy levels, see more improvement in your fitness, and all your systems will continue to run properly. If you don't eat enough over time certain functions can shut down, you can lose you hair, nails get week, just to name a few.0 -
Thanks so much for the info! I just read one of the threads you posted and it makes much more sense! I appreciate it!
I have been eating back all my exercise calories. Mostly just because I'm hungry and MFP said I could so I didBut I do see girls sometimes that strive to have a 0 calorie intake for the day. They try to work off every single calorie that they eat. I can't even imagine! It must be so hard and I feel like they're just starving themselves and making this whole process just that much more harder!
