I have a feeling I'm still not eating a lot on most days. Do you mind looking at my diary and telling me what you think? I appreciate it.

I would have to agree with Kennie....your intake seems fine. I would just watch the sodium. Seems a bit high.0

Your carbs are WAY too high and you are not tracking protein. To lose weight, you probably shouldn't eat more than 40% carbs in your daily total.
And check the sugar levels of those carbs -- it would probably surprise you.0 -
Your diary looks pretty good. I'd watch those foods that are putting your sodium and fat in the red. You do well with fruit but add some leafy greens and other non-starchy veggies. If you are hungry, go ahead and max out your calories. If not, just keep doing what you are doing!
You can do this!0 -
My perspective is that you consume too many processed foods, therefore you are consuming too much sodium and too much sugar. You don't seem to eat a lot of fresh vegetables. I would try to make either lunch or dinner processed food free to start with and over time try to get away from them at both meals. I found that eliminating white flour and white sugar products enabled me to lose weight more easily. You can package your fresh foods and make them easy to grab for out the door lunches and snacks, because I know that is one of the attractions of processed foods. My diary is also open if you want to peruse it. Good luck to you on your journey.0

I have to agree on the sodium thing too. If you can manage it, try and cut out the canned soups and processed shelf meats, that will lower your sodium intake A LOT! I know, cause I did the same thing earlier in the year!! Those canned soups are super convenient, but they are silent killers! This is gonna sound all kinds of Hippie, but I'm finding it to be true: The closer you eat to nature, the better off you are! Try and get your hands on the unprocessed foods and organic stuff.0

I would ditto those points. If there is one thing you should do right away it is add more fresh, raw vegetables and fruit into your diet and eat none processed meat. For all of the reasons mentioned but also because of these reason:
1) Raw fruit and vegetables have more nutritional value than cooked or processed.
2) Cooking, processing these are forms of making food easy to digest. Raw foods make your body have to work hard to digest as a result they burn more calories than an cooked equivalent.
3) It is very hard to go over on calories if you eat raw.
Personally, I think the bulk of the weight problems would disappear for industrialized nations if people just ate like they were farmers in the first half of the 20th Century. Raw vegetables and fruit; milk, eggs and meat that have been grown the old way (free range, no hormones, antibiotics, etc), and of course, cook your own meals (it's cheaper, healthier and you know what you are getting).
Side note, margarine and other butter substituents are not good for you. Real butter is better for you. The general rule is substitutes are usually worse for you then whatever is you wanted in the first place.0
