Trying to see if there anyone is up for a little lighthearted fun food game.
I will post my "weakness" food and then the next person replies with a great healthier way to do it/alternative. Then you post your weakness and the next person repeats the process.
I cant wait to see some great thoughts on eating as nutrition is going to be my intense focus for the next few weeks... after a few weeks it becomes a habit right?
My "weakness" food of all time..... PIZZA... would love to eat it everyday!!

I still do pizza but I make my own with Flat out wraps and load it with veggies and low fat cheese....
My "weakness" cool ranch dorritos.... I miss those little triangles of tangy goodness but I dont miss all the pounds and inches I have lost so far!0 -
Make your own at home using lots of veggies and a tortilla or flatbread for crust, very small amount of cheese. Love it:)!
My weakness is pasta!!0 -
Try making your own pizza with healthy ingredients: flatbread, fresh tomatoes, small amount of olive oil, veggies, fat free cheese
My weakness: potato chips. I will eat them all if given the chance!0 -
Whenever I am wanting Pizza I use the flatout bread any flavor as my crust put a little bit of pizza sauce on it or make my own out of tomato sauce and italian seasoning and top it with my fav veggie toppings or some canadian bacon if I want meat thena little bit of mozzarella cheese its really good and not high in calories as all and very filling and appetizing.
My food weakness would have to be bread I love to eat bread and butter especially if it is fresh out of the oven yummy!0 -
If you go with a thinner crust, you're cutting out a lot of the carbs. Use part-skim mozzarella for the cheese. And load it with veggies - mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomato, olive, all the good stuff. A bit of low-fat ham can satisfy the protein urge. Tastes sooooo good, and way better for you that ordering the standard meaty, greasy mess!
My weakness: ice cream; I just love it0 -
In my town there is a place called "Wheat State Pizza" The crust is whole wheat and you can get a large thin crust made with provalone cheese and canadian bacon, you can have 1/4 of the pizza for 350 calories. It is really good and satisfies my craving for pizza. I don't have it very often. My biggest weakness is Potato chips!0

I love pizza too!
Try half a bagel or sandwich thin with a roasted tomato/basil/mozzarella 25 calorie laughing cow cheese wedge with a few slices of turkey pepperoni or salami (or whatever are your preferred toppings) and pop it in the toaster oven. It's not a perfect substitute but when I do it it comes to around only 200 calories and it's not junk!
If I need a really low calorie snack, I just do a roasted tomato/basil 35 calorie cheese wedge with a slice of salami and the flavors satisfy my pizza craving.
I've also done bagel thins and low-carb tortillas with a few spoonfuls of spaghetti sauce (or pesto), fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil - pop them in the oven for a bit and it's the perfect mini margarita pizza.
Hope some of my suggestions help!
My craving: Homemade Chocolate Brownies.
I ADORE brownies and currently eat the fiber one 90 calorie brownies but they are super processed and not nearly as satisfying as homemade ones.

Try frozen bananas and simply blend them up - it is banana flavored but it's the same creamy, frozen texture of ice cream! Drizzle some caramel sauce on top and it's PERFECT!0 -

Maybe try the baked version in moderation? I cannot think of any substitute for fake cheese and the icky processed amazing deliciousness that is doritos. My only other suggestions would be bake your own corn or tortilla chips and dust them with the ranch dressing mix (maybe?) I dunno if it would work but maybe it would be similar.0 -
For the Potato chips the ABSOLUTE best is to make homemade sweet potato fries! Cut them up like a fries, add a dash of olive oil. Place them in a 400 degree oven and I pull them when I start to see them get crips on the edges. Good for you and if you eat them when hot you will never want another potato chip again! (foil on the baking sheet is helpful)
I need to search for the brownie recipe I have for that one. Thankso for all the pizza ideas! It can be done healthy and with minimal guilt.0 -
