Any body fat challenges out there?

I am almost at my goal weight .... 5 pounds away, but my body fat is still any issue. I'm at about 30%. I'm going to start my workouts (steadily now) next week. I know as I add on muscle my weight will stay the same or go up, but the fat % will go down. My scales is pretty accurate with the body fat % compared to my doctors office. Anybody planning on having a body fat percentage challenge? I'm interested in joining on, just don't know if I would have time to be the official person in charge with working 15 hour days. Any thoughts?

I'm not really up for a challenge, but I know that interval training is great for this. It's on my next action plan!0

Body Fat is m main goal as well. I find it fluctuates annoyingly and I have not been able to put it down to food or exercise.
Happy to work on a challenge through our News Items so friend request coming your way. Anyone else want to join in on the %Body Fat Challenge drop me a FR with some reference to %BF so I will remember who
I also work 10-12 hour days (not including the 2 hours I take to go to the gym at lunch) very long days can't help.
Anyway lets get that %BF under control.0 -

Between the 8:30-5 and 5:15-10:30 and the hour drive there and home, I have about 15 minutes during lunch to take a quick walk as I only get 30 minutes. Nothing at the night job. I eat my supper in the car between jobs!
That's awesome if you want to keep track and sort of keep us in line. I need others who want to accomplish the same goal. I would like to drop about 15%. If we get a group together I will message you my info. What do you think weight and body fat? Just body fat? Ideas?0 -

I have also heard this from my PT last week. Essentially to reduce %BF you need to
1) Train cardio by going in short intervals of flat out and rest. For example I use the elliptical trainer and work out at 150 rmp for 15 seconds then 120 rpm for 15 seconds (and do this for 15 - 30 minutes). It encourages your heart rate to increase and decrease and studies show this helps burn fat.
2) Diet. you need to cut down on fat / carbs / sugars (probably repeating myself in different terminology). Having said this you do need SOME carbs to keep going but make sure they are goo ones and don't over do them.
3) Also (and new to me) is never eat carbs at night. I have not tried this yet, but am just starting to.0
