So I'm starting at a gym on Monday - daunting but I have to do it

Am wondering if people take the made up powder protein drinks etc with them, or the bars, or if its just water whilst there and then the shakes when you get home....

I have a 650ml shaker bottle

If I haven't had a meal before hitting the gym, I often bring a Luna Protein bar or Think Thin bar. Both have a decent amount of calories and lots of protein. But it gives me the boost I need to make it through a hard workout. I usually find them at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's!

I personally prefer water while I'm at the gym (b/c I'm thirsty, not hungry while working out). When I get home, I have a protein shake.

There are a lot of people at the gym that get a shake (we have a juice bar in the gym) after they workout. Some people are in the gym for hours, so they need some fuel during their workouts, and will have something in b/t workouts.

Water at the gym, shake or meal after the workout. Or, if you get as hungry as my partner, water at the gym, shake on the way home, meal when you get home.

    water at gym
finding a shake that tastes okish is a mission some of the bars are good. You def need to have protein after workout to help repair body. The thought of eating meat etc after gym is hard meaning shakes are often easier. iv used bodyhut site in past cheaper than shops
