I just had knee replacement and I am not eating the way I should be. How can I eat more to heal faster without gaining weight.
Last time I weighed myself I gained 4 pounds.

pack on the protien - drink lots and lots of water - you really should contact the hospitals dietician for personal diet plan - you want to heal properly :)

Over the past 2 years I have had both of my knees replaced....and yes, I gained weight both times. Do not deprive yourself...you will find at about 6 weeks post surgery that you will be more active and the weight will be easier to get rid off....

DO ALL THE PHYSICAL THERAPY....EVEN IF IT HURTS....AND IT WILL......BUT DO IT ALL....( I can jump on a trampoline less than a year after the second one...and I am a BIG girl still).

Do talk to the dietician at the hospital...they can help....and are more that willing to help.....

Since I last posted,I have gained 19 pounds. I am not as active as I used to be and it is really depressing. I can't sleep at night and all I want to do is munch. I know it's not good for my legs or back. I just recently lost my mother and everything is like a dream that I can't wake up from. I have lost 5 relatives, from my 21 year old son in 2009 to my mother just last month along with a very dear Aunt and older cousin. Should I just start over or keep drudging on with my MFP.
