So I have finally got a HRM and am interested to see how my RHR relates to what is considered normal, considering i am very very overweight and not at all fit and healthy.

According to my HRM my RHR is 69

I found this chart online - how do you compare?

Are you an Athlete????

I'm not really an athlete (and even when I was running regularly it didn't seem like my RHR went down noticably). Female, 33, my RHR is usually around 70.
I remember when I was taking EMT training that 60-80 is considered normal. But that was a long time ago, so I may be remembering wrong.

i want to start looking at how quickly my exercising HR returns to my RHR as that is the true definition of fitness

Mine is 39 at 51 years old. I run a lot. When I am not running it is around 60.
