NSV - walking!

Just thought I'd share a recent discovery I made since starting in March...

I've upped my walking speed by 1 mph! When just starting a few months ago (around March), my brisk walking was 2.5mph (and I mean, I was out of breath and could only keep it up for about 2 miles (at the most 3)). In the last week I've been brisk walking at a speed of 3.7mph!! And today I kept up a pretty consistent pace of about 3.5mph for 6 miles! This is pretty huge for me. I know there's room to improve - I'm on it!

Have a great rest of the weekend, all! :)

    That's almost a 15 min mile. That's Excellent!

(way back in H.S. Gym class cross country, as a not particularly unfit 16 yo. I started out RUNNING a 14-min mile :ohwell: but that was RUNNING)

Good job. I know it is not easy. I just recently started to add incline to my 3.0mph walk on the treadmill. It really upped my calories burned. Give it a try!!! Keep up the good work. :)
