Beurer HRM not receiving Heart Rate

I got my Beurer HRM PM25 in the post yesterday but I can't get it to pick up my heart rate - I can't find anything on Google about it! Can anyone shed any light? Anyone else had this issue?

hey! its happened to me multiple times. have you tried applying water to the chest strap area? after awhile it should be able to pick up your heart rate. hope this helped! x0
