I have heard that is the way to do it... just like interval training it confuses you body. I am going to start the same thing I think. Don't be scared, you will be fine.

I started zigzagging 2 weeks ago and almost every single day I have seen a loss. I went from 122 to 115 during that time. It is definitely working for me. Before I was eating a consistent 1200 per day and went 2 weeks in a row without a loss at all. I think zig-zagging is the way to go ! Best of luck :)

I've heard about zig zagging. But dont really understand it. How does it work do you just eat 2 different calorie amounts and switch off everyday between the 2?
And does it really help jump start your metabolism?

In my opinion, you shouldn't weigh yourself every day....there are too many variables that can affect your weight, especially water weight. Your weight will fluctuate somewhat (which is normal) and you can't expect to be EXACTLY the same weight every day (especially if you're measuring in tenths of a pound or ounces with an accurate digital scale). I weigh myself once a week instead, so that I can stay on track, but not get upset or discouraged by every fluctuating ounce.

This is where I started too. ^^

I do day 1 and 2 at 1340 and Day 3 at 1650 and then repeat.

I have been trying to keep track and update here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/229833-zig-zagging-calories-day-1

However I have been a bit MIA and not following it for the last week while my sister was home but I am back at it tomorrow!!

It confuses your body just like when you interval train. I'm going to give it a try.

This is what it tells me if I exercise 90 minutes a day 6 days a week...
