I was only able to do 12 minutes of the shred workout which is not what I wanted. I posted it as high impact aerobic. Does anyone else use this and how do you post? Should I push the whole workout no matter what?

I invested in a heart rate monitor. It is the most accurate way of tracking how many calories you burn. It is set to your specific weight, age, and height. One with a chest strap is most accurate. It is the best investment I have made since I started this. Going by the figures in MFP's database is just going to be an estimate. Most of their figures are not very accurate. The only thing I have found to be accurate is the calories burned for walking.

I keep reading that. I am going to have to look into it. Thanks.

I remember the 1st time I did it. I thought I would die. I laid down on the floor and just watched the second half of it. But it really does get easier if u keep doing it. Well, maybe not easier but it becomes doable. Just pace yourself and try to finish the video even if u have to modify the moves or take some breaks. It's my favorite video now. U can do it!

I used a heart rate monitor and out of interest, I looked at what MFP estimated it for at 30 mins of circuit training and it was almost spot on, only 6 calories out. So I'd go for that, high impact aerobics is way less

I usually do 20 minutes of circuit training, because that's what a majority of the people on here recommended :).

As for only making it through 12 minutes: DON'T GIVE UP! 12 minutes today will turn into 20 eventually, just keep trying :). Don't let the 30 day restraint make you feel as if you have to progress at that rate... I had to stay a few extra days on level 2, and I take rest days, so I no longer worry about the 30 days but making it through! :)

Good luck! You can do it :).

Like others, I'd get a HRM... I have a Polar FT60 & love it. When I do the 30DS, I burn anywhere from 250-315 calories in the 27 min. workout.
    But everyone is different.
