Hi!!
I do a bit of that - I took the principal from weight watchers as you can save points for a blow out later in the week or have a blow out then save your points.
I don't do it over more than a period of a week though just to keep me in check.
Can't see it harming and i've still lost weight on both MFP and weight watchers doing that.
Good luck xx0 -
i wouldnt suggest doing that..its hard to keep track of.. many people calorie cycle and lose weight. i know on days i dont lift i try to not eat as much, but i eat more on days i do lift.0

I will often do this, as I have major workouts on the weekends (lawn mowing 1000+ calories). I often don't feel hungry after a workout until the next day, so I save a few of those calories for the next day when I'm really hungry. I am on the 1400 calorie / day plan, so like you, I have a little flexibility there. I try to go with what my body is telling me, and I'm continuing to lose weight, slowly but surely.0

I've done this just because that is how my week has turned out - didn't plan to go higher or lower in calories on those days, but don't confuse this with calorie zig-zagging.
Calorie ziz-zagging should provide the same amount of calories per week, but 'tricks' your body by constantly changing daily calories. This is to help prevent or break plateaus.0 -
I do that. I use the weekly net section on my Iphone app, and as long I as I am at my net for the week I don't worry about days where I am a little over. I have also found that having overage days tends to keep me loosing. When I was being super strict my weight loss slowed down. Now I have a day or two where I go a little over to balance out the days I go a little under. The average is what I worry about. This is essentially the principle behind calorie cycling. I just don't do it formally with different goals each day. It allows me to worry less when I go out to dinner with friends or to a BBQ.0
