Query regarding Carbs

Hi everyone
I understand that carbs can slow down your weight loss - I am trying to keep my carbs around 90 -120g a day
I am eating much more fruit and noticing that my carbs are coming from them, with maybe only 20g carbs coming from breads, pastas, potatoes etc
Is there a difference in carbs from fruits and carbs from potatoes/breads/pasta? Never really understood much about nutritional science and all - am really trying to get my 5 portions of fruit and veg a day but concerned about these carbs
When I did Atkins, and i re-introduced fruit, i put the weight back on, even before i added back small portions of pastas (
anyone out there know if there are different types of carbs???
Food diary open for anyone to take a look if it helps

The carbs you're getting from fruit are primarily in the form of sugar (fructose). There is a big debate about the *kind* of sugar (natural vs. artificial), but ultimately It makes very little difference either way. It's still sugar.
Complex carbs (starches), such as those from whole grain products (100% whole wheat bread, whole grain pasta, oatmeal, etc.), are different from pure sugar. They take longer to digest and don't spike your blood sugar as quickly. Both types produce an insulin response.
When you eat whole fruit, you're also eating fiber, which is better than drinking the juice by itself, although I would steer more toward the veggies and have less fruit to reduce the amount of sugar you're getting.0
