Hey everyone!! My husband bought me "Nature's Way - Alive! Ultra-Shake Vanilla" yesterday, and I was just wondering has ANYONE out there tried it?! Only reason I ask is b/c I've never heard of it!! I read some reviews online & so far seems pretty good for those out there have... If you have tried it, can it or does it help with weight control / loss?!

Thanks!! :D

Even if it is perfectly balanced and contains every nutrient your body needs, it won't help in the slightest in the long term.

Only learning to eat properly will enable you to make long term changes to your weight, and products like that will only undermine that learning process.

My advice, though I apologise for it sounding unkind, is to stop looking for easy solutions.

Edited for spelling and to say - and tell your husband to stop looking for easy solutions for you! Great that he is being supportive though.

I haven't tried this one but I've taken Nature's Way Metabolic Reset™ Chocolate Shake, Vanilla and Strawberry. They taste really good. It's all natural, low glycemic which is really important if you want to lose weight. No artificial sweeteners.

Well, I think if you are needing a bit of extra nutrients in your diet, a shake won't hurt. It's best if it's all natural though and doesn't have any of those artificial sweeteners in it.

Sometimes I'm just not hungry but don't want to NOT eat because then I just over eat later on. Protien shakes are a good snack to keep you full and get your vitamins, just don't use them as a meal replacement because like TourThePast says, they don't really teach you how to eat for the long term.

Yeah, I'm not looking for a easy way out, I'm always the one who believes in "The natural way is how people should lose weight" - but he surprised me w/ it, so thought I'd try it. He also did it b/c of all the nutrients & vitamins in it :)
