Struggling to reach my calorie target

Hello..

To briefly explain I have been a very poor eater for about 15 year. I have been pretty much obsessed with how I look and therefore controlled my eat to such a point I was classed as anorexic. Thankfully I have just about combatted that with the support of my partner and friends, and by watching my now 9 year old daughter growing up and not wanting her to pick up my awful habits.

I am eating pretty well, 3 good meals and snacking yet I can;t actually meet the 1200 calories and it keeps flashing at me telling me I am under eating. I understand that by only hitting 900-1000 calories a day (before working out) is leaving my body in starvation mode and not helping me loose the weight I want (I am only looking to get to about 128-135lb) but am unsure how to add these extra calories when I am so full. Any ideas?

Try adding some more protein with breakfast, and fruits and veg to your day. Oh and drink more water it looks like you only had 3 glasses yesterday. :-)

Maybe a meal replacement shake? Something like ensure or Carnation.....you would get extra calories and be able to sip it slowly

Drink your calories! A protein shake will work wonders - AND along with some strength training will give you those sexy, fat burnin' muscles that makes women so hot!

1200 is a random number that someone picked and decided that it was fact. your body knows what is "starvation mode." if you're eating well, getting all your required nutrients at a lower number, and you don't feel hungry, then you're fine.
