Peel your banana first.
Cut them into small pieces.
Freeze for just 1-2 hours on a plate.
Blend, blend, blend - scraping down the bowl when they stick.

It turns out that frozen bananas are good for more than just dipping in chocolate. If you freeze a banana until solid, then whiz it up in a blender or food processor, it gets creamy and a little gooey, just like good custard ice cream.

    I do this quite often but I add a little milk to it to get the right consistency. If I just blend the frozen banana it goes into little chunks instead of blending nicely. You can also add unsweetened cocoa powder with a tiny bit of honey or agave to make it chocolate ice cream :)
