"An active family"

I an so proud of myself and my children today. Yesturday my kids (3 girls ages 12, 10 & 8) ran their first 5K race with me. Then this morning I got up to go for a run to the grocery store, my kids were already up with their friends that spent the night playing the Wii. When they saw me they immediately jumped up and wanted to run with me, their friends were not as enthusiatic. One of them stated, which made my day, "you have a really active family". Then they all got up and joined me.
When I started my 12 week weight loss challenge I only hoped that my goal of making a nutritional and physical lifestyle change would rub off on my children. Well it has only been 6 weeks and I know I have already been successful.
Good Luck to all those out their trying to make a change in their lives as well. The best way to teach your children is by leading by example.
