Not sure if this is the right place but I think I need some help. Every day Im under my calorie intake after exercise. There are some days like today that I am way under. I thought this was a good thing but after reading a few posts on here Im guessing its not. I need some advice on calorie intake. There are times when Im so scared to eat now because I know I have to put it on here and I dont wanna eat too many calories.

From what I've read on multiple posts that a lot of it depends on the individual person. Myself... If I eat my burnt calories back I will end up gaining and not loosing anything. But that's me. You might be the same way or you might be one who needs to eat all or maybe even some of your burnt calories back. I had done some experimenting with what I needed to do and that's how I came to my conclusion. Try eating part back and see where it takes you. Granted, don't go starving yourself either.0

MFP creates a deficit of 500 calories for you, make sure you eat 1200 calories, no matter what. If you exercise you can eat more. I don't eat back the first 200 of my exercise calories (my personal preference as I want a 700 calorie daily deficit - Jillian Michael's claims this is the "sweet spot" for weight loss), but anything I burn over 200 I eat back for sure.
Don't be afraid. Just keep at it and take measurements. If you get stuck for more than a month, look back at what you're doing and re-evaluate. Some of this is a little trial and error. You can do it!0 -

My thoughts exactly. I have 100 lbs to lose and I do not eat all of my calories I burn back. I think you have to try them both and see what works for you. 1200 minimum though. Sometimes I have a negative net calorie or a very low one because I burn so many calories (elliptical and BL DVD) As long as I eat 1200-1500 on those days I dont worry. I go by what the biggest loser says "calories in calories out" Some people will disagree, but I think if you aren't starving you should be fine.
Good luck on finding what works for YOU!0 -
