I started going to the gym last week. I went to one class one day and machines for about an hour another day. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced being very tired the day after going to the gym. If so how do you get over the tiredness?

Make sure you are VERY hydrated b4 your workouts! Sometimes a good protein boost helps also. Some peeps do a protein boost b4 some do it after. Did you get a free trainer session with your membership? A trainer can set you up with the proper program based on your goals.
Good luck to you,,,,,I LOVE my gym!

When I first started working out at the gym I experienced the same tiredness. So instead of going everyday, I went every other day. Also keep up with your water! Hydration will help combat the fatigue. Also, keep going to the gym even when you are tired!! Don't skip the gym! Once you start working out you will wake up and you'll feel better for it once your work out is completed! Plus, give your body time to get used to your new routine! The more you go to the gym, the stronger you will become, the less fatigue you will feel over time!
  • :flowerforyou: When I first started exercising regularly at the gym I was exhausted all the time. I wasn't fueling my body with the right amounts of nutrients and I went 5 days a week swimming a mile every other day, and lifting weights and cardio the alternate days. It got better over time....-f I remember correctly it took about 3 weeks to get used to it. That was in 2008. Now I eat much better and have tons of energy. Keep it up and it does get better! Make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water and refuel adequately and you will do great! Congrats on your first steps at the gym! :flowerforyou:
