Hi Everyone!

I am new here and wanted to say hi! I live in northern New Mexico, am happily married to my DH of 10 years. I started my weightloss back in mid-July and have dropped 42 pounds but have been on a bit of a plateau for the last couple months so I signed up to help me be more accountable. I still have more weight to lose but more than that, I really need help making life style changes (hince the name). I have an extremely hard time sticking to a diet! I have very little willpower when it comes to food and love to cook, which is a horrible combination when you are fat. =)

I started exercising a little over a month ago - I am up to walking on the treadmill for 60 minutes 5-6 times per week. I would like to start a strength training program but have found myself overwhelmed with the choices and the "how to" and don't really know where to start. My short term goal right now is to lose 30 more pounds by mid-April and I would love to get an email diet & exercise buddy that is working towards a similar goal.

This is the first holiday season, in my life...I think, that I have really tried to exercise right through and not pig out on all the food that shows up everywhere and so far it must be working because I am not gaining and still losing...just really slowly.
