Good morning,

Today was my first official day getting up at 4:30am to go to the gym. I'm very surprised how easily I got up.

Ran for 47 minutes at at 5.3 miles per hours. I'm too lazy to calculate how many miles that is (forgot to look at screen on treadmill).

Have a great day! :flowerforyou:

Way to go, Mireille! I have been getting up at 4:50am for about a month now and I am so used to it. Feels good to get your run in right away in the morning!

I ran for 45 min at 5.0mph--we did almost the same run, Mireille! Yesterday I didn't get on to MFP to check-in but I did run 4.2 miles including running up a couple HUGE hills. I went to visit my parents and I got to run in the country-I loved it!

Hope everyone has a great run and a fantastic Monday!

I was at the gym by 5:45 this morning... whew! Not quite as early as you ladies, but it was early enough. I did 25 laps on the 200 meter track (5K!) Yay me! I did walk a couple of those laps, but I still did it. 5K run is coming up on Sept. 27, so I just have to keep plugging away! Tomorrow I hope to get on the elliptical and hit the weight room a little. Have a great Monday everyone!

No running for me today. I did a class with one of the bootcamp instructors. Yesterday I ran 10 miles with my running group. I have never run 10 miles in my life. During the last mile I was the leader of the pack. That felt good. We were running up a big hill (the sign said an 8% grade) and I felt like I could run forever. I made it up the hill then back down and beat everyone back to the finish by 2 minutes. (I am not the fastest runner of the group). Now this group is trying to get me to do a 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks. I think I am out of my mind for considering it.

Running tomorrow, so everyone who is running today have a great run. And for those of you that have already run today, great job.:drinker:

    Good day runners:

Still no running for me, but the good news is i can walk, and not hobble around! Did CardioX this morning , and boy , did it feel good to do something after 3 days of "nursing" this hip. Even managed Squat X Press. Started wearing my orthotics, feel funny, can't wait to try them running. This is killing me as the weather has been perfect for running, quite cool in the morning (about 50*), but better to be safe than sorry. Will ask the osteopath today when I can be expected to be off and running!

Ketchie: Ugh, peeling wallpaper. Don't envy you at all! Glad you like your Garmin. I found mine to be very motivating!

    Great job everyone.

I was a t the gym at 6:15--yea for the early birds!! Did 35 min on the treadmill--first 20 min @ 6.2 mph and the last 15 min @ 6.3 mph. Then I walked a cool-down until I hit 4 miles (about 7 more min). After that I did the easier of my two weight-lifting workouts (it's been about a month since I lifted, so I didn't want to overdo it!). I'm a little frustrated because I'd lost about 17 lbs. but gained back 5. Now I am determined to get rid of that and 5 more!! September, here I come!!

I love getting up early as well! I'm up at 5 everyday and usually out the door by 5:15. I didn't run today, I had a 2 mile swim. I have a race in less than two weeks!! can't wait!

Today was a rest day -- thought I was going to bike but my body was off today so I decided to take a nap and relax. Back in the gym tomorrow. Feeling a little rested.

Sounds like hip failures for a couple people Carvan - hope it starts to mend!! Strawberry -- how is your hip doing??
    Happy trails folks!

I get so frustrated with family physicians. Spend $20 to wait 30 minutes, only to be seen for about 30 seconds! She moved my arm this way, that way, this way, that way, then said, "Continue taking IBProfin for the pain and if it hasn't gone away in another week, here is the orthopedic to go see." And that was that!

I am going to the gym tonight to do the eliptical. I can just hang on to the rails and not swing my arms back and forth. It's been almost a week since I've done ANYTHING and I can feel it in my grumpy mood! Can you tell? LOL!

Docs are aggravating. When I go to my ob/gyn I tell them to note my appt that I will have questions so if they need to give additional time please do so. I have done this at the regular doctor too, it seems to keep them from being in such a huge hurry.

I have found better success with the physicians assistant at both my regular doctor and my kids doctors office. They seem a bit more relaxed and willing to take the time. Matter of fact my son was having a lot of problems a couple of years ago and the doctor would say it was allergies or a flu going around, I finally asked to see the PA because he helped with my daughters allergies a few years earlier and he was the first to say it wasn't normal and requested blood and urine work and determined he had mono. It was just nice to have an answer!

Good luck with your arm, if it is really bothering you just go to the orthopedic doc now. At least a specialist will more than likely have some questions for you and something better than to kill your liver with IBU.
