Starting new....again.

The last time I logged into myfitnesspal was in the winter of 2009 and I was 23lbs lighter than I am now. WOW. I knew I had been gaining weight but I didn't realize that it was that much. I've tried so many diets in the past and sure I lose weight initially but then I always seem to gain it all back. The most I have ever lost at one time has been 35lbs but then shortly after that accomplishment I got pregnant and was bed ridden from the time I was 14 weeks until I delivered him at 32 weeks. I'm so tried of feeling tired. My bones ache and I know it's because it's tired too of having to carry all this extra weight.

I think the main reason I haven't lost the weight is because I have never had an kind of support system. It seems that no matter what amount of weight I loose my 'family' doesn't seem to think it's good enough. If I loose 5 lbs then it should have been 10 in their eyes so I give up. I know that ultimately I'm the one choosing to give up but I think it wouldn't be so easy for me to do that if I had people cheering me own and being supportive no matter how much or how little I loose.

I'm hoping that my FITNESS PAL family will offer the support I need to help me stay motivated and keep loosing weight.

I have problems staying motivated too so I know exactly how you feel. We can do this though!!! The good thing is that everyday is a new day and each day holds 24 hours of promise!!

Welcome Back! I know the feelings you are having. I have lost the same 25 pounds a few times. This site has really helped me start back up when I have a bad day or weekend. Add me as a friend if you would like.

Any weight loss is amazing, whether it's 10, 5, 1, or even half a pound! I truly believe that the key to having success is having a great support system that will cheer you on when you accomplish something, as well as make you feel better if you have a bad day or week. Sure you can be successful on your own but doing this together with other people is so much more fun. If you need support and motivation, I'm here for you. =]

Remeber that this journey is all about YOU not them. If 5 lbs makes YOU feel good that is all that matters. Stay strong for yourself and soon YOU will have the mindset and the strength to overcome your families letdowns!!!!

A little more than a month ago a friend suggested that I use myfitnesspal (MFP), I had lost 5lbs. on my own so I was a skeptic. I dreaded all the work I'd have to put into keeping up with MFP so I complained but promised I'd give it a try. I knew I needed to lose weight because my doctor warned me about cholesterol and that it could lead to heart disease. Today I'm 15lbs. lighter (a total of 20lbs.) and I could become a poster child for the application...Lol! I have it on my cell and I log in online. I added fruits and vegetables to my diet. I cut out most fast foods and reduced my sugar intake (by that I mean junk foods). I drink a lot more water as opposed to all the other stuff I filled up on. I also started walking and adding other cardiovascular exercises which I do regularly. To help with those I've added another application on my phone called Endomondo that measures your cardio workouts. I am really happy I gave MFP a chance instead of shooting it down! I am certain you will get to your desired weight if you are determined. If you need support hit me up & I'll be happy to offer words of encouragement;)
