About a week ago or so I had a big bag of chips and a bunch of chocolate. I woke up the next morning feeling as if I had a hang over. Then on Friday I went to McDonalds. I didnt over do it, yet the next day I still felt sick. Last night I was hungry so I had Mr.Noodles, some cheese and a few banana peppers. I went over my cals by like 700 and then I was up in the night sick! You would think after the first couple of times I would catch on. But nope... Im not so bright at times.

I have a similar problem. I have a lot of food allergies and am not suppose to eat certain things and then I start feeling sorry for myself or just frustrated and eat them and then feel like crap. Last week, after saying not again for a million times, something shifting. I said not again and really meant it. I stocked up on foods I could eat and kept reminding myself how bad I felt. I realized I was more tired of feeling bad than any of that food tasted....because it NEVER tasted satisfying. You may have to work with it and figure out what works for you-
Are you depriving yourself and then throwing all your rules out the window mentality?
Do you need to really stock your house well and make sure you dont get hungry?
    Is it emotionally connected?

Investigate your patterns and then work to break them. I have been a week now (and a weekend!) without making myself sick or miserable by going back to it. So far, so good!!

Good luck and hang in there with it all!
  • I am sure that you are not the only one. Just get back to it and now you know! Slap your own hands next time you go to do that.

I am relieved to hear I'm not the only one. I've been sick for a few days and also have food allergies so its all been downhill for me. As far as staying on track goes, I find that green tea with stevia sweetener helps a sweet tooth and helps tell my brain that I'm done eating so I don't keep digging through the bag (or cupboards) looking for something to eat!

That is exactly how and why I got to needing MFP. Sounds like emotional eating. Just start over and take it meal by meal.

I was trying to figure out why I eat.. Its one of three things. Im bored (which isnt hard to distract myself), im just hungry, and the biggest one I LOVE FOOD!! It tastes so yummy!! I just love it!
