Do you like low calorie hot chocolate - I find it very filling! Also green tea is meant to be a hunger suppressant. I too am feeling very hungry a week into it but as others have said your stomach will shrink x0

When ever I feel really hungry in between meals I have a giant glass of water and wait 20 mins. I find that often I confuse my thirst with hunger. Hang in there!0

There are several things you can do that will help:
1) Drink enough water.
2) Eat lower glycemic fruits - and try not to eat fruits for breakfast. Bananas and apples contain more natural sugar than strawberries and blueberries (for example). Eating higher sugar fruits first thing in the morning raises your blood sugar, and you will feel hungrier when it quickly comes back down. You are setting yourself up for failure that way.
3) Always eat carbs together with a protein. The protein and good fats will slow down digestion of the carbs, which keeps you fuller longer and prevents blood sugar "crash effect" mentioned above.
4) Increase your vegetables - especially eat more of the higher fiber and leafy green vegetables. Also, remember that these are lower in calories, so you can eat much MORE of them. The fiber and the sheer bulk of them should help keep your hunger in check.
5) Make sure you are eating back your exercise calories. If not all, then most. You do not want your NET calories to be below 1000 per day. If you are doing this, then your body may be trying to tell you it really does need more fuel.
6) Spread your meals and snacks out so that you are eating something every 2-3 hours.0 -
I know that Scientifically fiber fills you up. I also noticed that most foods seem to have sugar in them, so I have a hard time with that part. Fiber can help in weight loss as well as I noticed that as far as fruits go Oranges seem to be lowest in calories and sugar. To get myself to drink more water I've tended to put addative into it, such as 1/4 cup juice to 24 oz water. I'd start with have and kept makeing it less juice to more water. I'd also force myself to eat a piece of fruit when I couldn't get the hunger feeling out of my system. Sharing fruit with the kids is great as well because you don't eat as much and you still get something. Calcium is also known to help in weight loss and Yogurt has it.
Starving is not the point because all you do is think about it and it wears you down. So keep healthy things on hand to grab conveniently. The point is to be more intentional about your health and be active.
Hope this helped.0 -
I stretch my calories throughout the day so I am constantly eating. I start at 8:30, eat something every hour until about 7:30 or 8:30 at night. I'm never hungry. It's an adjustment and yes it gets easier. You just have to learn what works for you. I don't deal well with the "hungry" feeling either, so I have to eat constantly. I just eat better and smaller.0

Friend, I know what you mean! Remember to be kind to yourself. Count everything that you do RIGHT! If you used to eat a whole row of Chips Ahoy, but now you only eat 4-5, that's progress! If you drank no more than 4 glasses of water a week and you're now drink some water everyday...you're adopting healthier habits! Everything you do towards your calorie-counting, more exercise, weight loss goal is a move in the right direction. So, keep tracking what you eat regardless of those green and red calorie bars. It's the daily effort towards the goal that matters most!
