Hi, my husband and I are both trying to lose a little weight at the moment but its our 3yr wedding anniversary tomorrow so I wanted to make some tasty but healthy (well healthy ish) treats. He loves cookies and cake, any suggestions? Thanks

Personally, I believe if it's a celebration such as this that comes only once a year, it's not a "dieting" occasion. You would die if you saw what I ate on saturday at my 6th anniversary celebration dinner.0

I say eat really light the day before, get in a good work out the day of and eat a tasty non diet treat for your anniversary. It comes once a year. if you cant splurge a little once a year then that would just be terrible.
however, if you are dead set on keepin it healthy (props if you are)
I would consider Strawberry short cake, angel food cake is one of the lowest in calorie for a slice like 120 calories.

you could top these with chocolate syrup, or strawberries and whip cream for each cup cake it is 75 calories
Banana Cream pie is a pretty low cal one, if you make it with fat free sugar free pudding mix, low fat graham crackers, and add in fresh bananas.

Angel food cake is always a good choice.
A favorite of mine is apple crisp which is very good with vanilla frozen yogurt on it http://fitnesspro.wordpress.com/2007/06/19/healthy-warm-apple-crisp-recipe/
Another treat is to use Temptation pudding (which is very low in calories) and layer in a wine glass. Put chocolate shavings on top and a strawberry on the rim for something that is quick and delicious!

Google low calorie/low fat desserts - I found some 50 calorie cookies that are made with normal ingredients and taste yummy!! I also like
Pineapple Cupcakes
1 box yellow cake mix
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple
Combine the two ingredients(including juice), stir until blended. Pour into muffin tins and bake according to directions on cake mix box. Top with light whipped cream - fabulous!0 -
