My metabolism turned 35 at my last birthday

This is my first post and I'm hopeful it will help me this time. I really only need to lose about 8 lbs, but it's that last 8 that keep hanging on. I'm a wannabe triathlete that competes in one race a year, as well as doing strength training. I'm looking for accountability because I have a huge tendency to jump into cookies or chocolate as the day gets later and later, which then backfires and I have trouble burning the calories.

Hey, I am 44 and just completed the Columbia Triathlon in Maryland yesterday. I'm 213 and need to lose at least 20 lbs. But, I can still finish without walking. I need MFP to help me count calories and gain points when training for a triathlon, duathlon, or century ride. It allows me more food to recover from working out, without going over. We all have our good and bad times, but I maintain much better since use MFP. Good luck!0
