4 ( 4oz chicken breast thin sliced)
1 cup apple cider
1 apple cored and cut into 8 wedges, I prefer McIntosh
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves crumbled

In a medium non stick pan cook apples, cider, maple syrup & thyme. Bring to a boil. Cook until apples are tender and the sauce is reduced by half about 8 minutes.

You can cook this two ways. 1st way is to broil. Brush chicken with sauce, broil on one side for about 4 min then turn and brush the other side cook for additional 4 min. you may have to do this 1-2 more times depending on how thick your chicken breast is.

2nd way i cook it in a skillet. brush the chicken the same way. and every couple Minutes turn the chicken and baste with sauce. cook for 8-10 min this way. So Yummy.

This sounds yummy, but how is there only 2 carbs? Between the apple and the maple syrup it seems like it should be much more.

LOL! I was hoping you had a special trick to get those carbs out! Haha! I have sugar free maple syrup at home so I could try it with that. It sounds delicious! Thanks for posting.

:) I'm sure the sugar free syrup will taste just as good.
