Does anyone know about sugar alcohol? Is it better than eating something with processed sugar in it?
I'm wondering because I'm eating something that has 11g of sugar alcohol and I logged it in my food diary and it came up as 0g of sugar. Just curious

As far as I know is a form of carb that is not completely absorbed into the body, thus, it do not rise your sugar level as high as a normal carb, normally you don't count it or subtract half of it from the total amount of carbohydrates a food has, for example, if a food has 16 grams of carb and 10 of them are sugar alcohols, you count it as only 11 grams of carbs.0
