I eat pretty much all the same things I eat the rest of the time... just in more careful portions. I'm really trying to change the way I eat permanently, rather than going on a 'diet'. So far, so good! :-)0

for dinner i make my own meals, such as turkey chili, which can be used in omelettes, as is with corn bread or put on top of rice. I make homemade bbq shredded pork (seasonings only, no sauce, in crockpot), which can be eating with all sorts of sides, fajitas, lemon chicken and rice, chicken tacos and enchiladas, turkey sausage dogs, baked ziti and many more... needless to say i eat VERY well and without sacrificing ANY flavor, if you'd like any recipes feel free to ask
and i give up ALOT of my old eating habits for new ones, no soda, no cakes or candys, but i do enjoy low fat 100 calorie fudge and creamsicles, other than that its healthy, nutritious food ALL the time, with maybe an exception for restaurant food once every 2 months and i always only eat half
now for snacks, lunch and breakfast i dont cook them but i do prepare them

best foods for weight loss are fruit,veggies,lean meats ,lowfat dairy and lots of herbal teas and water to flush the system.
Also of course whatever naughty thing you might be craving in moderation. I like to address my cravings head on instead of ignoring them because if you do that they will turn into a nasty binge.0
