I love many things at Trader Joe's, but my old standby favorite is the Tomato Basil Hummus, which is 35 calories for 2 Tbsp!

I really love peanut butter :D So I try to find healthy ways to eat it. My two current favorites are:

    1. Spread thin on toasted wheat thin rounds with sliced banana.
(The thin rounds are great for sandwhiches as they are only 100 calories and 100% whole wheat... and they freeze well so you can get a giant package from Costco for really cheap)
    2. On celery, carrots or apples (celery is great because of the low caloric count and it has lots of water, carrots and apples give you a little sweet flavor while still providing energizing calories.

Oh, and because I am a total sugar addict, I always have to have a great low calorie dessert. Lately I have been chopping half an apple and mixing it with a little fat free Kool-whip :D It satisfies the sweet craving and isn't totally empty calories. You can adjust the amount for your caloric allowance.

    - a poster above mentioned the sandwich thins and those have saved my life! i very rarely eat actual bread now, only when i'm at restaurants. I live off sandwich thins! They make a great snack with some peanut butter.
