Hate running??

So I was one of those people who absolutely dreaded running. The most I would go is a mile, if that. I would get so bored easily that I would stop and quit my workout. I tried to "like" running, but it just wasn't happening. Now, I'm on C25K Week 6, Workout 1 (just finished today) & I'm seriously loving running. I would recommended it to anyone and everyone. I've seen the most results with running, more than the elliptical and the bike. I encourage my friends to do C25K because it is amazing!! I definitely recommend everyone to at least try it - you'll become a better runner, see results and will fall in love with running!!! Just wanted to share ;)

I TOTALLY agree. I'm on week four and it's kicking my butt, but it feels SO good!
  • It definitely is one of the fastest ways to get in shape.

I had to put a tv straight in front of the treadmill to take my mind off the movements. While I can see results (able to run longer/faster) I get so bored and just want to stop! I've tried running outside but can't pace myself and get distracted - bumping into construction signs or gaps in the sidewalk while looking around. Seems like I can't win!

It's a freebie! Though I think some phone apps cost a few dollars, depending on your phone.
Google "cool running" and "c25k" and you will learn all about it.

Woohoo! Looking forward to hearing how it went. My first was incredible. Having folks running with you is a huge motivator.

To be honest, I spotted another guy, about the same age and build, and thought to myself: I gotta beat this guy! Made it fun!

I passed him toward the end, only to have him pass me in the last few yards. I suspect that he was thinking the same thing. We did a friendly fistbump and "good race, man" as we waited in the results line. Good stuff.
