Yesterday my fiancé and I decided to take out our spring/ summer clothes and put away the winter ones, what a frustrating experience!
I had 4 LARGE Rubbermaid’s full of clothes, I spent the day going through them and ending up with about2/3rds of a bins worth that might actually fit me right now. Nothing fits!!!! My fiancé wants me to get rid of most of it but half is stuff that is to small and hopefully will fit in the future, half is big but I fear gaining back or if I get pregnant soon I will need it.

I have 12 pairs of Capri’s(yes 12 pairs!) that are one size too small and 2 pairs that actually fit :-( I REALLY hope I can fit into those by mid summer or they will totally go to waste as with any hope they'll be too big next year.
Sorry just had to vent, it's all so close to fitting but I fear I won't get there in time!

Hang in there and just take it day by day. Last summer I put a huge box of stuff away that didn't fit, determined that it would fit this year. We'll see. You can do it, just think positive!

I've got tons of size 7-8 clothes that i am dying to get into. Hubby says there is no point in keeping them but why waste them ill get there eventually!

You can do it just keep your head up!

If you dont' have enough clothes to get you through, try heading to a thrift store or Goodwill, or hit up a clearance rack to get a few things to carry you over. And take a look at the stuff that's too big. If it's just slightly too big, can you make it work with a belt? Too-big tops can be made super cute if you belt them, or use a pretty brooch to clip them at the waist in the back.

And don't *hope* you'll fit into those clothes -- KNOW you will. I see you're already making great progress on your weight loss, so you have every reason to expect that if you keep going, you'll be able to wear that stuff.

Ah sooo frustrating! Keep your head up...you can do it! I'd throw out the larger pairs. Why? Well think of being able to go shopping for maternity clothes as an award for being prego! Then when it happens you can get cute, stylish maternity clothes that fit you properly :) Plus I always feel that having the larger sizes around is like say "hey if I gain it, it's not that bad, I have paints to use till I drop it again." NO GOOD! lol

    Best of luck!

I used to think that I should give away all of my smaller clothes because once they finally fit again they would be so out of date that I wouldn't want to wear them anymore, and I would deserve a new wardrobe. That was before I realized how expensive clothes really are! Here's the thing: If you have room for the bins of clothes then you might as well keep them. There's no point to throwing them away when they could be useful to you in the future. That being said, I really agree with the previous post about how some of your bigger clothes are a safety net and could make you feel like it's 'ok' to gain back some of the weight. I am by no means saying you should give them all away, but definitely thin things out a bit. Maybe cut back to just a couple pairs of your bigger garments and give the rest to a friend or women's shelter. I've found that it's easy to part ways with the weight that I'm losing, but very difficult to get rid of my clothes. I feel your pain. :ohwell:

I would hang on to them......this winter I decided to get rid of anything that didn't fit. Ugh! Why in the heck did I do that?!?!?! Now I really need those clothes back. I had gotten to a point where I thought I would never wear anything smaller, and bam now I need the smaller sizes. I have been getting rid of anthying that is too big. I dont want them hanging around like it would be ok to wear them again

The other sad part is my friend gave me her fat clothes from before she lost weight and they are all a size to small for me as well, 30lbs down and I'm bigger then she was at her heaviest :-(

On the bright side when I'm down to the next size I’ll have more clothes then I'll know what to do with!

Keep at least your favorite pair or two. Use them as your scale: try them on every two or three weeks and see how much further you can zip them! By the end of summer, you'll be looking good and wearing them on a date with your fiance!

Just one size to small! You can do it just have to lose ten pounds and they will fit again and if you really watch the white processed carbs you will lose in the belly and maybe it wont be ten pounds maybe it will be less

This is kind of what I do! Sometimes, it's frustrating when the scale doesn't match what I feel, but then I put on a pair of jeans that I used to have major muffin top with and find that they fit and that makes me feel better!
