i just got a pulse sonic hrm and i was wondering if their results sound correct. according to mfp if i walk 28 mins 2.5 mph i burn 129cals. my hrm says i burned 330cals. does this sound like it is right. i weigh 214lbs.

I'm not sure if that's accurate but if it doesn't seem right, I'd take the average of the 2 so that I don't over eat my calories earned from exercise. Remember that the beat and rate of your heart is the key. Sometimes I find my heart rate pretty high even when I'm not doing anything.

thanks for that. i have no idea if its right or not. it did show my heart rate as high. it is a chest strap one.

That sounds about right :) MFP seems to underestimate the calories for walking, I think.

    Who knows
    I know I don't know.
I take the Lowest Calorie value from various websites
Which is my HRM ... because it's gauged to my gender, age, and weight
