AFTER Plateau?

So I was stuck between 148-146 for nearly weeks, up and down I went. It was driving me crazy! On Friday (my weigh in day), I finally went under it. I was at 145.8!!!! How exciting! So I had hot dogs and burgers, potato salad all weekend long. Even a couple of beers in there. For whatever reason, I decided to weigh myself this morning... to my surprise I was at 141.2! WTH?! AWESOME Surprise! But is it normal to drop the weight that quickly after a plateau??? Is it healthy too???

You could have lost water weight. During my TOM I usually retain water and then after that week I drop a couple of pounds.0

I'm not sure about that! Especially after what you ate/drank for the week! hahahah
Anyways that's awesome though!0 -
I to am at a plateua, and I am not that surprised you lost that much quickly. I have had some weeks where I lost only 1lb and then another I lost 4, sometimes I wonder during the platuea if our bodies are holding on to weight.0

That's how it always happens for me, I never lose a little bit, I stay the same forever then BAM I'm down 4lbs in a two days.0

i thought a plateau was just something people said when they werent actually dieting as well as they should of been...but i finally hit mine...i had hit my 10 pound mark, was perfect for four weeks after and all of a sudden NOTHING WAS LOST!!! i was so pissed off that i just started eating whatever for about a week, but im back on it now and still haven't seen a change in weight.
so hopefully your success reaches all of us going through this!0 -
Now that I'm thinking about it, it was my TOM last week! As a reward, I'm going to do some summer clothes shopping this weekend. Size 8 here I come!!!0

I was stuck at 148.6/ 149.6 for 3 months!!!!! I finally managed to get down to 147lbs last week - woo! I hope that my weight now falls as quickly as yours, trying to get down to 140lbs.
Well done for finally breaking your plateau - your post has made me very happy, thank you     :happy:0 -
How long do these plateaus normally last, I have been stuck at 142 for 2 1/2 weeks now! Granted I got sick on weekend...but I started doing the 30ds last tuesday hoping to kick this plateau in the butt but still nothing. Do I keep doing the same thing? When do these plateaus normally break?0

I don't know how many calories you normally consume but a ton of people say to eat more when on a plateau especially if you are eating a low calorie count on a regular basis! I have had 3 plateaus and each one ended after a weekend of cruddy eating! Just sayin'!0

My first one lasted 3 weeks, and this latest one has been very very close to 4 weeks! I think what you have to remember is to NOT become discouraged and keep dieting and exercising. I added one more workout in my schedule last week, not 100% positive that's what threw me under my plateau, but I know it didn't hurt it either!0
