I did not log in my food diary for last 4 days and cheated my self couple of times during these days.
I am losing all the motivation that i had when i joined MFP.I donot see fast results so I give up.
Has any one experienced this(not losing weight for few weeks).I have lost only 4lbs in last 6 weeks.
At one point in time the total weight loss was around 7lbs but that stayed only for couple of days and I again gained it back.
Was it just the water loss????

you will have ups and downs... i know i did for the last 2 yrs and counting, and still do. The idea is to NOT give up... Push yourself to do what you need to do to be successful. I did not use MFP for the first year, and I lost 24.3 lbs solely on exercise, and a little bit of changes in my diet, but not too much. I struggled to lose weight after my first year anniversary, and actually gained 2 lbs back by my 2nd anniversary, so I joined MFP to figure out what I am doing wrong, I have not 100% got it yet, but I'm pushing harder, and I am lower than I was back in February so I am happy about that but its not easy at all.

Your diary isn't public so I don't know what you are eating. Are you working out? What is your calorie intake? It takes a lot of patience, but it will eventually pay off!! Don't get discouraged!!

Don't give up! At least you lost some weight. You can't rush it if you want the weight to stay off. It has to be done slow. For me logging all the bad stuff helps me to stay with it. I see what I eat and tell myself that I need to do better. It's taken me a year and half to just lose 47 pounds. Many times I wanted to give up because the scale was moving in the wrong direction, but I am still trying. Just Do IT!!!!!!!!

Don't give up. Weight loss is not a quick and easy thing. Heaven knows I wish it was! So you slipped. Keep going you will feel better. My losses have been small, slow, with many ups and downs, but I am learning a lot and I feel better over all. Keep going!

I think most people on here have experienced this before. Personally, I'd given up many times when I stopped seeing results in the past, but this time I vowed to stay focused.

It's definitely not easy, but you just need to take it one day at a time. Focus on what's driving you to cheat and develop a plan to address it. Frustrated about no loss, craving bad foods, stress? Once you get into a new routine, it does get easier...so just hang in there!!

I think everyone has been where you are at one point or another. It is all part of the journey. I know it can be frustrating not to see those results on the scale but when this happens to me I try to focus on non-scale positives. I have more energy, I sleep better, I'm generally happier and so on. Is there one thing you can do now that you couldn't do or wouldn't do before starting this? Something as simple as walking for a specific length of time or trying something new that you may not have had the confidence to do before? Try to focus on these things too. Just because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean your body isn't getting healthier. Have you taken measurements? Sometimes inches come off and it isn't reflected in the scale right away. Keep your chin up and don't stop trying. Remember you are worth the effort!
  • You have to keep at it. The weight didnt come on fast so it is not going to come off fast. Try a week of limiting your calories to 1500 and working out every day for at least 30 minutes, do not add your work out calories to waht you can eat.. If you do this you will lose weight each week. But you have to be honest with yourself. This week has been hard for me because I had my gift from mother nature and The scale said I gained 5 pounds. I know I have been really good with my exercise and food so I am just going to keep at it. This is a life style change not a diet so keep at it.

I would love to give suggestions but it's hard without seeing your calories.... Maybe change up your carb intake (lower it), and protein (increase it) intake.

Don't give up. I just read this articles this morning, maybe this will help: www.fitnesswithnatalie.blogspot.com
